The Holy Ghost baptizes you with the Holy Spirit and Fire
According to Christ Jesus and Shri Mataji also, the Wind or Cool Breeze of the Holy Ghost is a sign that a person has had their Baptism of the Holy Ghost and has therefore entered into the Kingdom of God within themselves.

Shri Mataji often described our resurrection as a leap in our spiritual
evolution, whereby the mass of the humanity have that jump in their evolutionary
consciousness, to become their Higher Self, which is "the Spirit". Shri Mataji
has explained that up to now, we are human beings, but when we have our
evolutionary leap in consciousness, we become the Spirit. According to Christ
Jesus and Shri Mataji also, the Wind or Cool Breeze of the Holy Ghost is a sign
that a person has had their Baptism of the Holy Ghost and has therefore entered
into the Kingdom of God within themselves. Here is what Christ Jesus said:
"The Wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know
where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the
Spirit." {Christ Jesus—John 3:8)
Here is what Shri Mataji says:
"This living process is very clearly described in Indian scriptures since
ancient times. There are 108 Upanishadas in the Sanskrit language, which have
exposed the knowledge about Kundalini awakening and the spiritual ascent. Also
it is indicated in the scriptures of other countries. In the Bible it is called
the Tree of Life and it is quoted that: "I will appear before you like tongues
of flames". When the Kundalini rises, She passes through various centres, which
look like tongues of flames when enlightened. The cool breeze of the Holy Ghost
of Pentecost is this power that you can feel in Sahaja Yoga [in Union with the
Divine Within]. In the Gospel of St. Thomas, it very clearly describes the
Sahaja experience as the ultimate of our religious life. Also it says we must
look after our centres. This Kundalini has to ascend and pierce through six
subtle centres, which are placed in the spinal cord and in the brain. The last
[evolutionary] breakthrough is the actualisation of the "Baptism" as one feels
the cool breeze of the Holy Ghost emitting out of one's fontanel bone area."

Once we have this power of the Holy Ghost awakened in us, we can work out our
salvation `with fear and trembling' as it says in the Bible. This really means
that we have to diligently work it out. Here is how Shri Mataji explains the
`working out':
"Let us see how you are going to work it out. There are so many things you can
do very easily, if you see for yourself that you are the instrument of the
Divine. And then your temperament will change, the nature will change. You'll
become a very sweet, likeable person and everybody will think that this is a
saint walking around. Whatever is the discovery, is a discovery for the whole
world and I am sure that once it is established and is exposed to the whole
world, things will change. (Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi—Adi Shakti Puja,

Shri Mataji further explains how this has to be worked out in a collective way,
and not to be kept to ourselves, that in Spirit, we are different members of One
Body, and therefore we have to work it out, collectively, otherwise the whole
Body will suffer:
"Supposing now, you meditate and you don't spread Sahaja Yoga, [the knowledge of
the Union with the Divine Within] you will never ascend, because after all, this
Kundalini, you see, She is a sensible woman. She is very sensible. She thinks:
"Why should I make her [or him] a saint; what is the use?" Sahaja Yoga [Union
with the Divine Within] is not individualistic. It's not for one person to
become a saint and [to] sit somewhere! It's not like that! It's not meant for
one person, for oneself; it's not individualistic! It's a collective happening.
So if you are not helping to the collective, Kundalini says: "Alright, you are
alright as it is!" Just like our body: see in our body, if one organ says:
"Alright, now I'm alright, I'm not going to work it out." Or one cell says that:
"I'm not going to grow now, it's alright, why should I worry about the whole
body?" It won't [happen] because it's a living organism! I have told you 100
times, when it is a living organism, it has to grow, it has to grow and also to
absorb. To have energy, you have to meditate and you have to grow. If you don't
grow, you are finished, you are no more a Sahaja Yogi." (Shri Mataji Nirmala

John the Baptist spoke about the One who would baptize with the Holy Spirit and
fire:
As for me, I [John, the Baptist] baptize you with water for repentance, but He
[Christ Jesus] who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to
remove His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. (Matthew
3:11)
Christ Jesus tells His disciples that they will be baptised with the Holy Spirit
and this power of the Holy Spirit will then awaken within them and they will
spread His Message of Resurrection:
And gathering them together, He [Christ Jesus] commanded them [His disciples]
not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had promised, "Which, He
said, you heard of from Me, for John baptized with water, but you shall be
baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now." And so when they had come
together, they were asking Him, saying, "Lord, is it at this Time [that] You are
restoring the Kingdom to Israel?" He [Christ Jesus] said to them, "It is not for
you to know [the] Times or Epochs [reference to the different Ages like Kali
Yuga/Satya Yuga etc.] which the Father has fixed by His own authority, but you
shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My
witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the
remotest part of the Earth." (Acts 1:4-8)
Christ Jesus tells His disciples about "the Helper", who is our individual
Mother Within:
"When the Helper [God the Mother] comes, whom I [Christ Jesus] will send to you
from [God the] Father, that is, the [Holy] Spirit of Truth who proceeds from
[God the] Father, She will bear witness of Me [confirm Christ's Incarnation] and
you [the disciples] will also bear witness [also confirm Christ's Incarnation]
because you have been with Me from the beginning" [of Christ's ministry on
earth].

But the Helper [God the Mother] whom the Father will send in My name, She will
teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.

Here is what Shri Mataji says about our Individual Mother Within:
"You should try to understand that She's the one that loves you the most, for
She is your individual Mother, and if you try to follow Her, you will see that
She is suggesting where the problem is with you, what you have to correct, what
you have to do, because She wants to perfect you. She [the Helper] wants to help
you. So if you start watching it, carefully, with love, with understanding,
She's very playful, extremely sweet, full of beautiful plays like a little
child. She will tickle you here and there; call for your attention. She doesn't
trouble you. You have to just be alert about Her and She really matures you. We
have seem people [who] with time, have matured, but you have to pay attention to

"Kundalini is universally there [and] exists in everyone. She is your Mother,
your individual Mother, that is the desire, the pure desire which is waiting for
a chance to give you your Second Birth [of the Spirit]. And when She rises, She
touches the seat of the Spirit on the fontanel bone area and the Spirit, which
enjoys itself by itself, shines in your awareness and you get collectively

"So this power of Gauri [the Virgin] has to be respected, because She is our
individual Mother. She has given us our Second Birth [of the Spirit]. She knows
all about us; She's so gentle and so kind. She takes all the trouble of rising,
of penetrating through these centres and She gives us this Second Birth. Because
She knows everything, understands everything and organises everything, She
brings forth all the beauty that you are, once you start developing that beauty
within yourself. Then you'll be surprised how powerful you are. All these things
are of the same nature. The truth that you discover is the same as the beauty,
is the same as the joy. You don't have to think that joy is different, truth is
different, and beauty is different. It's just because we are not yet at that
point, that we just take one facet. But once we reach that point, then the whole
thing seems to be "One". There's no differentiation at all. They are all facets
of one diamond and that diamond is your Self, your Spirit! (Shri Mataji Nirmala

"We cannot afford to waste time now, because we have to save the whole world. It
is our responsibility. If we cannot work out our own chakras (energy centres) we
cannot help anyone. So first, we must work out our own chakras and then we can
help everyone. It's not like some cult or organisation, whereby we can just say:
"I belong to this organisation; it's alright, I'll be saved by God." It's not
promised in Sahaja Yoga. There is no ticket to heaven. It has to be worked out,
with full understanding as to what this Kundalini is and how She works." (Shri

"All this work is done by Kundalini alone. If She does not go to any Chakra
(Energy Centre) and awaken any deity, we cannot even have the fruits of those
chakras (energy centres), so it is all Her work, all Her ascent, all Her
understanding and wisdom which has given us this beautiful state whereby we call
ourselves as Yogis, so I would request that you all pay attention to your
Kundalini, keep Her awakened all the time and keep your [spiritual] vibrations.

Christ Jesus explains that through the annointing and power of the Holy Ghost,
He did His work of salvation or self-realisation:
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because She anointed Me to preach the Gospel
to the poor [in Spirit]. She has sent Me to proclaim release [salvation or
self-realisation] to the captives and recovery of sight [en'light'enment] to the
[spiritually and physically] blind, to set free [spiritually liberate] those who
are downtrodden [and thus] to proclaim the favourable year of the Lord. (Christ
Jesus - Luke 4:18-19)
And when the day of Pentecost had come, they [Christ and His disciples] were all
together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a
violent, rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
And there appeared to them tongues `as of fire distributing themselves' and they
rested on each one of them. And they were filled with the Holy Spirit. (Acts
2:1-4a)
Now the Lord is the [Holy] Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is [awakened
within] there is liberty. (2 Corinthians 3:17)
