The Holy Spirit and the Breath
The disciples therefore rejoiced when they saw the Lord. Jesus therefore said to them again, "Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you." And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit." (John 20:19-22)
Breathe on me, breath of God,
Fill me with life anew,
That I may love what Thou dost love,
And do what Thou wouldst do.
Breathe on me, breath of God,
Until my heart is pure,
Until with Thee I will one will,
To do and to endure.
Breathe on me, breath of God,
Blend all my soul with Thine,
Until this earthly part of me
Glows with Thy fire divine.

Shri Mataji explains how it is that Sahaja is a simple thing, because it is born
with us, like our 'very breath':
"Sahaja is a simple thing because it is born with you. I mean your nose is born
with you! It's a simple thing. You basically don't have to do anything to
breathe. This built in process is there in the same way within you. It is just
there. To me, it is absolutely simple and to you it will also be simple, as soon
as you get it ! It is so simple because it is so vital. It is so important. All
vital things are simple and easily available, like your own breathing. For that,
if you have to do something special, then this breathing will not be possible,
because how many people will be able to survive? This simple thing, this simple
method, is the method of the all-pervading Divine Power, the Holy Ghost. This
all-pervading Divine Power is the Shakti, the Primordial Power which works it
out. Do we realise how this Shakti has worked? On the other hand, are we ever
watching a flower becoming a fruit ? Who does that ? There is not just one
flower, but you must have seen that there are millions and billions of these
flowers, which are turning into fruits ! Do we ever take time to think who does
that ? We only take things for granted, when it is done by this Divine Power!"

Christ Jesus simply breathed the Holy Spirit on His Disciples and asked them to
"Receive the Holy Spirit"!:
"When therefore it was evening, on that day, the first day of the week, Jesus
came and stood in their midst, and said to them, "Peace be with you." And when
He had said this, He showed them both His hands and His side. The disciples
therefore rejoiced when they saw the Lord. Jesus therefore said to them again,
"Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you." And when He had
said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit."
(John 20:19-22)
Shri Mataji says this is possible, because Christ Jesus was nothing but Pure
Vibrations:
"All other incarnations have all the 5 elements in them. He [Christ Jesus] had
nothing. He is nothing but Pure Vibrations. That's why He could walk on the
water, because there was no mass in His body, no matter in His body, no element
except for Chaitanya [the pure vibrations] - Omkara with the Wind." (Shri Mataji

It is the same with Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi. At Public Programs, She would tell
people how to receive the Holy Spirit. i attended a Public Program, where She
was giving Self-Realisation, and She would also breathe on the audience 'en
masse' through the microphone, asking them to receive the Holy Spirit (their
self-realisation). As She breathed the Holy Spirit on Her audience, the
atmosphere became perceptibly cooler, because of the Cool Breeze or Wind of the
Holy Ghost. She said that if a person could feel this Cool Breeze or Wind, that
it was a sign that they were born again, of the Spirit! Christ Jesus also talked
about this Cool Breeze of the Holy Ghost:
"The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know
where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the
Spirit." (Christ Jesus - John 3:8)
Shri Mataji states that the birth of Omkara is a very big thing, since the
Omkara can move into absolutely everything:
"The birth of Omkara; it's a very big thing, which moves into everything,
whatever it is. It is the atoms [and] molecules into all the organising of
chemicals; also the plenary clause and the gravity. Into everything that moves,
is this Omkara. And your vibrations are nothing but Omkaras." (Shri Mataji

Just as Christ Jesus promised, the Christian Comforter, Shri Mataji Nirmala
Devi, has come and taught us many things that Christ could not talk about at the
Piscean Age, but that Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi can now talk about in this Age of
the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit, this Age of Aquarius. In the Aquarian Gospel
of Jesus the Christ, Jesus tells about the Comforter (Holy Breath) who will come
in power and teach us more and more, bringing to remembrances His Words. This
has now come to pass already, over the last 30 years or so:
The Comforter (Holy Breath)
"And Jesus spoke again unto the eleven and said,
"Grieve not because I go away for it is best that I should go away.
If I do not go away the Comforter will not come to you.
These things I speak while with you in the flesh,
But when the Holy Breath shall come in power, lo,
She will teach you more and more,
And bring to you remembrance all the words I have said to you.
There are a multitude of things yet to be said;
Things that this age cannot receive because it cannot comprehend.
But, lo, I say, Before the great day of the Lord shall come,
The Holy Breath will make all mysteries known '
The mysteries of the soul, of life, of death, of immortality,
The oneness of man with every other man, and with his God.
Then will the world be led to truth, and man will be truth.
When She has come, the Comforter, She will convince the world of sin,
And of truth of what I speak, and of the rightness of the Judgment of
the just;
And then the prince of carnal life will be cast out.
And when the Comforter shall come, I need not intercede for you;
For you shall stand approved, and God will know you then as he knows
Me."
