The Holy Bible
And
The Rock Of Satan
And the angel said
unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel?
I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast
that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.
The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; And shall ascend
out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: And they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names
were not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of
the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not,
and yet is.
Book of Revelation 17:7-8
And the angel said
unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel?
I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast
that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.
Book of Revelation 17:7
Here we have the
mystery of vision explained
as
the apostle wonders at the sight of this
pope (woman). The angel undertakes to open this vision to him, it being the key
of the former visions; and he tells the apostle what was meant by the
Vatican
Church (beast)
on which the woman
(papacy) sat.
"The
prophet's immediate response was one of surprise and
admiration. Here was a church with its magnificent
cathedrals, its majestic shrines and monasteries, its great
centuries of education, its towering spires and lofty
structures, such wealth and splendor. Her priests are
dressed in such gorgeous apparel, the mystique: mystery and
excitement of her ceremonies and rituals, What a sight! Here
is Christianity with all of its pomp and pride. This
professed Christian Church rules the world and John stands
in awe. Here we have the masterpiece of deception. Satan's
most successful method of working is by means of deception.
He makes wrong look right, he mixes error with truth. He has
long bean planning and preparing for his final effort to
deceive the world. This gigantic system of false worship is
a masterpiece of Satan's power, a monument of his efforts to
seat himself upon the throne of the world to rule the earth
according to his will.
The heavenly
guest inquires as to John's admiration, and suggests that he
should reveal to him the meaning surrounding this church and
the beast that she rides. It should be noted that this is
the original beast with seven heads and ten horns. The scene
passing before us is the climax of the rebellion that has
continued down through the ages. The same conflict, just a
different time and a different place."
1
From the very beginning the Church was seduced by
the Evil One, as revealed by Lord Jesus 2000 years ago when
He directed these words at Peter, the very rock of the
Catholic Church and its first pope!
And he began to teach
them, that the Son of man must suffer
many things,
And be rejected of the
elders, and of the chief priests,
And scribes, and be
killed, and after three days rise again.
And he spake that
saying openly.
And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him.
But when he had turned
about and looked on his disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying,
Get thee behind me, Satan:
For thou savourest not
the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.
Mark 8:31-33
Christ tells Peter
that before the night is over he will deny him not once, but
three times. (Matthew 26:31-75, Mark
14:27-72, Luke 22:34-62 and John 18: 15-27). When all the
disciples flee after Christ is arrested, Peter follows at a
distance trying to keep hidden. He is discovered by a
servant outside the Sanhedrin who identifies him as a
follower of Christ. Peter denies Christ three times at which
point a cock crows and Peter breaks into tears for his
betrayal.
In
spite of the Savior's dire warning no one heeded Him. If
during the time of Jesus itself the Devil had overpowered
Peter and made him deny Jesus thrice what hope was there of
the Prince of Darkness ever leaving Rome?
From this departing
declaration of the Savior, so devilishly downplayed by the
Church, it slowly but surely grew from strength to strength.
When it had consolidated itself and penetrated deep enough,
this monster began killing, torturing, maiming, burning and
racking countless innocent souls in the name of God. Then it
left its lair to spread over all nations and tongues,
subduing them with unspeakable horrors and atrocities, and
turning them into 'dead men walking' — humans on spiritual
death row.
The Church
subsequently usurped the power of Christ by claiming that
Peter to be the rock upon which its was built. "The Catholic church has made it a point of faith that
popes are successors of St Peter as Bishop of Rome.
But Peter never had that title; he was only invested with it
centuries after he died. The pope says mass with Peter’s
trunk beneath his feet. Two hundred feet above his head
there is something far more important than Peter’s
remains: words of the Lord. In letters five feet high,
running round the dome, is the famous of all puns: ‘Tu
es Petrus, et super hanc petram aedificabo ecclesiam meam,
et portae inferi non pravalebunt adversus eam’ — ’Thou
art Peter and upon this Rock I will build my church and the
gates of hell will not prevail against it.’ Scholars
assume that in the original Aramaic, the pun was perfect:
Peter and Rock are both Cepha." 1
Peter was a excellent receptacle, a warm womb from where the
Beast incubated and then for centuries nourished itself on
the countless souls that surrendered to the Church. The
Diabolical One penetrated Christianity from the very
beginning itself through Peter. The Evil One never left
ever since and sustained His satanic rule through subsequent
popes — till today!
The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; And shall ascend
out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: And they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names
were not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of
the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not,
and yet is.
Revelation
17:8
This beast was, and is not, and yet is;
that is, it was a seat of idolatry and persecution; and is
not, that is, not in the ancient form, which was pagan; and yet it is,
it is truly the seat of idolatry and tyranny, though of
another sort and form.
It would deceive stupid and
blind submission from all the inhabitants of the earth within its
influence.
The
remote, transcendent Christianity postulated by Western
culture has proved enormously violent in all the Church's
incarnation from inquisitions, witch hunts, crusades,
slavery, holocaust and battlefield invocations the world
over.
The
Inquisition papal office was founded by Pope Gregory IX to
identify heretics. Franciscans and Dominicans staffed it.
Torture became an approved aid to interrogation in 1252.
Early in the
thirteen century a frightening madness and paranoia set on
Christendom. Legions of imps, goblins, gremlins, witches,
and wizards suddenly launched a mass attack on the Catholic
Church from all directions. Entire towns and villages were
overrun and came under the spell of evil — even churches
and monasteries. That required drastic action and the
hapless clergy sought help from the most powerful priest on
the face of the Earth, His Holiness the Vicar of Christ.
Since the situation was critical he declared a state of
emergency to contain these nocturnal powers threatening the
very existence of the mighty Church, and ordered the state
to set up an organization to scare the shit out of these
demonic forces.
Emperor
Frederick, an unbeliever, approved ruthless legislation to
please Pope Gregory IX. In 1232 he published a Bull
establishing the Inquisition, to be run by Franciscans and
Dominican monks. July 27, 1233 was a red-letter day for the
Vicar of Christ. Peter Selia and William Arnald were
appointed full-time inquisitors "the first in a long
line of serene untroubled persecutors of the human
race." All accepted standards of justice — from
Nicholas I ninth-century condemnation of torture as a
violation of divine law to the sixth century judiciary order
of Gregory the Great to ignore testimony given under duress
— were brushed aside.
Between 1200
and 1500 a series of papal laws were enacted to extract the
maximum cruelty on the most trivial, the most absurd
misdemeanor. Even thoughts were punishable. Innocent IVs
Bull Ad extirpanda allowed the Inquisition to use
torture.
By the
thirteenth century the early church declared that heretics
had no rights and thus to be tortured with a clear
conscience, subject to the most unspeakable atrocities
before being put to death. "From the mid-14th century
to the end of the 18th century, torture was a common and
sanctioned part of the legal proceedings of most European
countries and the Roman Catholic Church, which had approved
of its use by the inquisition in cases of heresy." No
pope checked this madness and the Inquisition achieved
unprecedented powers. Their motto: 'Better for a hundred
innocent people to die than one heretic to go free.' All
popes explicitly forbid any mercy on their victims, a
hereditary trait that only Satan could bless them with.
Torturers were assured that his Holiness would take on
himself any guilt or excess they incurred. "Like the
Nazi SS in the twentieth century, they were able to torture
and destroy with a quiet mind because their superior officer
— in this case, the pope — assured them that heretics
were a dirty, diseased and contagious foe that must be
purged at all costs and by all means."
Torture was
horrendously effective in making stubborn tongues loose. Hot
iron on raw flesh did wonders to open mouths and memory. The
rack stretched both body and imagination. The
cat-of-nine-tails exposed skin and sinners. Drowning devices
drove victims insane with fear. Bloodcurdling howls of pain,
shrieks of horror and screams of terror reduced next-in-line
victims into quivering, hapless masses, ready to confess to
the most absurd charges in order to be allowed the mercy of
a quick death by being burnt at the stake.
Torture was
satanically successful as to be almost perfect — so
successful that just a century ago there was a papal display
of the Black Book, or Libro Nero, for guiding
inquisitors. (Its popular name was the Book of the Dead.) A
portion reads:
"Either
the person confesses and he is proved guilty from his own
confession, or he does not confess and is equally guilty on
the evidence of witnesses. If a person confesses the whole
of what he is accused of, he is unquestionably guilty of the
whole; but if he confesses only a part, he ought still to be
regarded as guilty of the whole, since what he has confesses
proves him to be capable of guilt as to the other points of
the accusation. . . . Bodily torture has ever been found the
most salutary and efficient means leading to spiritual
repentance. Therefore, the choice of the most befitting mode
of torture is left to the Judge of the Inquisition, who
determines according to age, the sex, and the constitution
of the party . . . If, notwithstanding all the means
employed, the unfortunate wretch still denies his guilt, he
is to be considered as a victim of the devil: and, as such,
deserves no compassion from the servants of God, nor the
pity and indulgence of Holy Mother Church: he is a son of
perdition. Let him perish among the damned."
No document
is so contrary to the principles of natural justice.
According to the Black Book, "a child must betray his
parents, a mother must betray her child. Not to do so is a
'sin against the Holy Office' and merits excommunication,
that is, exclusion from the sacraments and, if there is no
amendment, exclusion from heaven."
The
Inquisition even provided for witnesses to be tortured!
Those complaining or refusing to testify were accused of
heretical leanings. "There were instances of entire
families being tortured to make them incriminate one of
their members." What possessed these men — God
Almighty or the Devil?
The
inquisitors never lost a single case and neither are there
any records of acquittal. The laws of the Inquisition were
all encompassing. Even the slightest opposition to the papal
system was 'against the faith.' "Inquisitors arrested
people for eating meat on Friday, omitting their Easter
duties, reading the Bible, saying it is a sin to persecute
for conscience's sake, speaking ill of a cleric. Any jibe
against his Holiness was an indictable offence, even when
uttered by a man in his cups. Any departure from the life of
the community was proof of heresy meriting death. It is
clear from this that the aim of the Inquisition was to
defend not the faith but the papal system."
The lists of
punishable offences were long: blasphemy, sodomy, sacrilege,
sorcery, papal tax evasion, and saying that usury is not a
sin incurred the wrath of the inquisitors.
Some were
ridiculous — any person not lighting a fire on Sabbath was
presumed to be a convert Jew and burnt at the stake. Through
experience the Inquisitors became Satan’s siblings. If a
victim proved his innocence — even under the most barbaric
torture — there was an ingenious loophole: he could still
be condemned for his inmost thoughts, doubts, temptations or
anything vaguely heretical!
The diabolic
insanity of the tribunal allowed it to even try the dead.
Pope Formosa was twice dug up and excommunicated. This
started a trend and disinterred corpses were on trial. Where
corpses were unavailable effigies were made. After
sentencing, the dead were again burnt to 'death.' There was
a creative motive for this ghoulish pursuit. This practice
facilitated inquisitors to acquire the properties of the
dead and the rich feared them, therefore, even more than the
poor. The pontiff rubbed his hands in glee: half went into
the church's treasury and half to the inquisitors, minus
petty expenses. Some pontiffs, like Nicholas III (1277-80),
amassed a fortune.
The Dominican
friar Thomas of Torquemada was the most famous of the Grand
Inquisitors. From 1483 -1498 he tortured more than 114,000
of whom 10,220 were burned, and many others sentenced to
life imprisonment. He acted absolutely out of love for
Christ and duty to the pope. Under Philip II, Bloody Mary's
Spanish husband, it is said the death toll of the
Inquisition far exceeded the carnage under the Romans. Pope
Paul III on 21 July 1542, bought and outfitted a house with
state-of-the-art torture instruments, all out his own pocket
— a small gesture of his love for God.
The Roman
Inquisition, separate from the medieval Inquisition that
thrived for centuries, continued its satanic savagery right
into the nineteenth century. Till 1870 the special court,
the Santa Consular tried religious lawbreakers. Only priests
sat in judgement and in the best tradition of papal justice
offenders were never allowed defense lawyers, nor confronted
by witnesses. And yes, the priests had absolute power as
judge, jury and executioner.
According to
Peter de Rosa "the most frightening of the inquisitors
were the incorruptible ones; they tortured purely and simply
for the love of God. They had no financial interest. The
very asceticism of most of those pious God-fearing
Dominicans made them pathologically harsh. Used to pain
themselves, they had a spiritual yearning to inflict pain on
others. The screams of victims were a kind of theological
music to the ears, a proof that Satan was taking a pasting.
They also rejoiced like children at the pope's benevolence
towards them; he gave them the same indulgences he gave the
knights who went to the Crusades."
Today, John Paul II fondly
remembers his long departed flock with these nostalgic
words: "What supreme dignity those men and women have
who are consecrated, who, as their vocation, have chosen to
embrace the nuptial dimension of the Church — Christ's
bride!"
(We will have to leave out
witch
hunts, crusades, slavery, holocaust and battlefield
invocations
for the time being.)
The
Resurrection and Last Judgment is the death-knell of all
organized religions who have
created destructive, anti-God dogmas and behaviors. Because
religious people believe the religious elite, they are infected with
those same beliefs as are promoted by their
religions' heads. They thus
become infected with the same evil
spirits with which those religious heads were consumed.
In this age
those following the empty rituals and false beliefs will
wonder whose names will not be written in the Book of Life.
In other words will the blind followers of religious regimes be able to attain eternal life by following
their high priests who know next to nothing about the Resurrection and
Last Judgment. Yet is is claimed that "the
Church's first purpose is to be the sacrament of the inner
union of men with God. Because men's communion with one
another is rooted in that union with God, the Church is also
the sacrament of the unity of the human race. In her, this
unity is already begun, since she gathers men "from
every nation, from all tribes and peoples and tongues";
(Rev 7:9.)" 2
The Beast was all the
while, and still is, existing in the very heart of the
Catholic Church — the Vatican, wearing the papal garb and
deceiving hundreds of millions into damnation and spiritual
death! There is not a single sentence in the entire Bible
that allowed these representatives of Beelzebub any
authority over fellow beings, and yet they managed to become
Vicars of Christ. What a diabolical deceit! What a demonic
device! What a cunning camouflage! Hundreds of millions were
deceived from the very beginning by the Devil who, by
overcoming the very first apostle and pope Peter, continued
His Evil reign from the Vatican City ever since!
As the world civilized
and Church culture like burning witches and quartering
humans became out of fashion (illegal) the Evil One began to
penetrate the very core of human divinity — innocence.
Satan today has been very successful in overcoming the moral
resistance of Christians who have little understanding of
its meaning.
Now the Evil One is
concentrating where innocence is in its most purest form —
children. It first penetrated into this region under the
most perfect cover, the corrupted and decadent Church!
During the Dark Ages such
pedophile activities unknown outside the Church. Within preachers and nuns
alike relished watching innocent hapless children succumb to
the pleasure of clerical stimulation and erotica.
Today hundreds of
millions of Church-blessed and baptized Christians are beginning
to enjoy erotic pleasures beyond their wildest imaginations
and fantasies: orgies, sado-masochism, striptease, live sex
shows, adult movies, pedophilia, bondage, whipping, sex
toys, voyeurism, homosexuality, lesbianism, 'golden
showers', . . .
"And they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose
names were not written in the book of life from the
foundation of the world" — What a chilling Truth!

"There
was, as you know, Peter. Peter was very egotistical fellow
and once Christ said, "You will deny Me three
times." That’s the time this Paul came up and he
taught it was a easy chance to get hold of somebody who is a
weak person, who is satanic; is a very good Antichrist —
and he found. He, being a great bureaucrat, wooed him,
managed him, and took him into his own confidence, and told
him you can join hands with me. . . .
He
edited the Bible, this sinister fellow Paul. He edited the
Bible. The whole work of Christ went into the hands of this
devil. . . .
So
this devil entered into the arena of such a great religion
as Christianity and the whole thing became upset. And that’s
how Bible is used today as a authority, has such words that
people start thinking no end of themselves; the first one
suggesting if you, if you become members of a Church you are
chosen. But first of all he
(Paul) saw that it should be
written that Peter will start this Church and he will become
the key, that’s what Christ said, and put him on a rock,
and he will start a Church. IMPOSSIBLE! Put Me in the place
of Christ. Will I ask the wickedest man to do such a thing?
Will I appoint one person to look after the whole thing?
This part of the Bible is absolutely blasphemy!"

So Virendra means "Paramahamsa’ who experiences the

"Pope
is another horrible fake guru sitting here. Then we have another
one that is of Canterbury sitting there. All of them are false
gurus — know nothing about Kundalini, don’t know anything of
Brahma, . . . So they want to propound that they are the
solution, achieving nothing, spoiling the name of Christ and
doing all kinds of things against Him, stupidly, without knowing
the Divine.
Then
we have many in Islam. Horrible people, just the opposite of
Muhammad Sahib, who will say wrong things in the name of
Muhammad Sahib. Its something like one can understand that a
thief has to become an impostor to behave like a king to show
that he is not a thief, and to have his thieving done. This is
how they are — all of them! Right from India we have many
brahmins of the same category.
This priesthood has to go.
Wherever there is a priest know there is a Mafia, is a
sophisticated Mafia!"

"Racialism is the
greatest curse of human beings that has been created by
themselves. God Almighty has created this world with
different varieties and different colours to create
interesting beauty but these varieties are only skin deep.
It is said that a long time ago some prolific writers from
Britain wrote horrible things against African blacks, and
all this was so totally accepted that the people who called
themselves white-skinned went all out to wipe out people who
had some other colour on their skin. For example, Columbus
sailed to America by mistake and the Spanish started
spreading their own kingdom and most of the Indians were
wiped out from their own country. Of course, some of them
disappeared into the high mountains and saved themselves. It
is difficult to understand why these people landed in a
country which belonged to someone else. It was initially a
venture that this land was their own property. They thought
it was their fundamental right to hate or kill people who
had dark skin colour or skin which was not like theirs and
rob their lands forever.
Diversity of bodies,
faces and skin created by nature is very important because
otherwise everybody would look the same. It would be a
regiment of boring human faces.
Unfortunately the coloured
people were called primitive, while the white-skinned were
regarded as advanced. It is intolerable arrogance to
discriminate between one human being and another because of
the colour of his skin. They all have the same heart, the
same feelings, the same expression of love and hate. They
all smile the same way, they all weep the same way. The
countries in which coloured people are born are their own
countries. They may be primitive or backward but no
foreigner, not even a white man has the right to occupy
their lands forcibly by using guns and cannons against
unarmed natives. Imagine the brutality of black human beings
being treated as slaves. Although slavery was abolished, the
colonial white powers continued to inflict unspeakable
insults and torture on the poor and simple people of their
colonies. If the history of colonial rule in Africa, Asia
and Latin America were written truthfully and objectively,
the enormity of crimes committed by white rulers would shock
humankind."

"If
you read Christ, what He has said is so tremendous that for
everything He said. For example, He said, "They say there
should not be any adultery." But He says even you should
not have adulterous eyes and it should not even come into your
mind. Can you imagine what He said?
Now tell Me about
Christian nations where women are becoming nude, naked? These
men are looking at them and it’s a nonsense going on
everywhere. Can you believe that these are Christians?
And
then on Sunday, wear your hat and go to church. How can you
call them Christians? There is no Dharma at all. Going
to church is another hypocrisy. And the amount of
licentiousness that has come in the Western countries is the
limit that one can reach. They do it in such a way that even
animals won't do. The whole, whole lifestyle is such how to
find our destruction. They want to destroy themselves."

New Testament accounts, Peter himself is fallible, indeed
lapses into denial of Jesus. Jesus even calls him Satan. But
as centuries passed, the institution increasingly referred
to the legacy of Peter as authoritative. By the Middle Ages,
the Church developed its own internal legal system, known as
canon law, and acted in its courts to enforce correct belief
as well as correct conduct. Medieval canon lawyers and
theologians spoke of the Church's guidance. Increasingly
after the sixteenth-century Council of Trent, the guidance
was described as infallible.
A key tenet of
Christian faith is that God guides the Church through the
continuing presence of the Holy Spirit. Catholics have held
that such guidance includes the formulation and maintenance
of its doctrines, and it may follow from such a view that
the truth of such doctrines is divinely supported — that
is, that in doctrine the Church cannot err. But surprisingly
enough, no precise definition of the infallibility claimed
for the Church was ever formally enacted . . .
Nobody had proposed
papal infallibility before the thirteenth century when a
Franciscan, Peter John Olivi (c. 1248-98), did so, and his
views were condemned by Pope John XXII in 1324 as the work
of the devil.”

“Among
the most extraordinary acts of legislation on this
subject was the bull of Clement II., who desired to
endow the Church with the surplus gains of the
brothel. Every person guilty of prostitution was
forced, when disposing of her property, either at
death or during life, to assign half to a convent. A
tribunal was also established having jurisdiction over
brothels, upon which a tax was laid, continuing in
existence until the middle of the 16th
century.
In
Avignon, which, in consequence of the schism of the
popes, may be considered a second Rome, a statute in
the Church, in 1441, interdicted to the priests and
clergy the use of certain baths, notorious as
brothels. The license (to practice) prostitution was
soon taken away in Avignon. The residence of the popes
in that city had attracted a concourse of strangers
from all parts of the globe, and brothels sprung up at
the doors of the churches, and close to the papal
residence and bishops' palaces. They brought so much
scandal on the community that an edict was passed
driving prostitution out of the city.”

“Hundreds
of Cree and Ojibwa children violated
BY PETER MOON
The Globe and Mail
Fort Albany First
Nation, Ont.
After decades of
sexual and physical violence against hundreds of aboriginal
children, criminal charges are about to be laid against some
of the priests, brothers, nuns and lay workers who ran a
residential school in this isolated Cree community on James
Bay.
From 1904-1973,
the federal government forced thousands of bewildered and
frightened Cree and Ojibwa children into St. Anne's
Residential School, operated by a Roman Catholic order.
Their fear was apparently justified.
Complaints
lodged by many former residents of the school include
heterosexual and homosexual rape, illegal abortions, sexual
fondling, forced masturbation and many kinds of physical
violence, including whipping bare buttocks with a wire strap
and using a home-made electric chair into which children
were strapped and given jolts as punishment.
The complainants
told the police that as children they were forced to eat
their own vomit and kneel in painful positions for hours on
concrete floors, were locked up overnight in unlit basements
and were subjected to humiliations such as having to stand
with their underpants over their heads if the pants had
fecal stains on them.
If parents
objected to the treatment of their children and tried to
keep them out of school, they were told by the missionaries
that their family and welfare cheques would not be cashed
and that local stores, most of which were run at the time by
the Hudson's Bay Co., would not grant them credit . . .|
Many of the
victims are still devastated mentally by their experiences
at the hands of the people who ran St. Anne's, she said.
"This was our Holocaust," she said. "They did
not kill us physically, but they killed us emotionally and
spiritually" . . .
Many elders and older
people within the community, most of them devout Roman
Catholics, do not want charges laid. They argue that the
people who ran the school were "servants of God" .
. .
At their peak, in the
1960's, there were about 170 aboriginal schools. The last
federal residential school did not close until 1988, after a
wave of scandals about abuses in them broke out in the 1960s
and 1970s. It is now recognized that the schools were a
dismal failure and led to generations of aboriginal children
receiving inferior education while losing their cultural
identification and the ability to parent and lead normal
lives. The schools are blamed for suicides and alcoholism
and form a significant part of the sexual and physical abuse
that is now endemic in many aboriginal communities . . .”

One of the most shocking aspects of this case is that
the people arrested have been described as pillars of

“The
first abuse…men of the vilest stock and of evil
morals, adolescents, are admitted to Holy Orders and
to the priesthood, to the mark, we stress, which above
all denotes Christ. From this has come numerous
scandals and a contempt for the ecclesiastical order.
. .
"Another
great abuse…wicked men, chiefly clerics, free
themselves in many ways [from punishment] …in
consideration of the payment of money.
"Another
abuse troubles the Christian people with regard to
nuns under the care of conventual friars, where in
many convents public sacrilege occurs with the
greatest scandal to all. . .
"In this city [Rome] harlots walk about like
matrons or ride on mules, attended in broad daylight
by noble members of the cardinals' households and by
clerics. In no city do we see corruption except in
this model for all cities. Indeed they even dwell in
fine houses.”

“Though
the Apostolic Camera was heavily involved in the papal
financial administration, about half its time was devoted to
judicial proceedings, because there were interminable
lawsuits and claims. The Camerarius and his clerks had
judicial power over the entire papal State and over every
member of the clergy everywhere. Their law-enforcement
methods were mainly ecclesiastical — censures (you were
declared to be not in good standing), interdictions (you
were forbidden to receive the Sacraments), and
excommunication (you were expelled from the Church, regarded
as already damned to Hell fire, and if you died in this
condition your body could not be buried with any religious
ceremony or in consecrated ground. It would probably be
burned, cast into the sea, or thrown into a shallow grave in
the local Potters' Field.) The Camera also disposed of
corporal punishments: Flogging, imprisonment with or without
hard labor, exile, torture, and death by hanging (which
usually implied drawing and quartering), burning, or the
sword.”

“During
the witch-hunts and persecutions of the Middle Ages,
referred to in the Craft as the Burning Times, they were
rooted out, accused of non-Christian worship and practices,
and executed in the hundreds of thousands (some put the
figure into the millions.) Most of them were women, as the
church's fear of a rampant Goddess worship turned to focus
on women themselves, often identifying female sexuality with
evil.”

“The
Number of the Beast is 666, William Blake (1805-1810)
Blake's knowledge and
belief in the sacred text, Revelation, is once again evident
in this particular work. Here the worship of the lamb and
the sign of fire from heaven is shown in Blake's typical
elusive, yet poignant style. While there is no direct threat
of violence and damnation to the human population, the sheer
power and majesty of the Beast is evident and may serve as a
manner of indirectly warning humankind of his power and
desire to deceive.”

“BEAST
(Apocalypse.)1. The 'beast that ascends from the bottomless
pit' (Rev. 11:7) is the apocalyptic symbol of the last
anti-Christian power (Rev. 13:1ff., 17:3ff., 19:19f.), . . .
The Beast is usually the persecuting empire . . . He claims
divine honours, wages war on the saints and is destroyed by
Christ at his parousia (cf. 2 Thes. 2:8.)”

“In a
stunning revelation Monday night, Monsignor John
Brenkle said the Diocese of Santa Rosa's total
financial losses could reach $30 million, nearly twice
original estimates…..Specifically, Brenkle described
the 'recent discovery' of a European-based foundation
that was using the diocese name and its nonprofit tax
status apparently as cover for a high-yield investment
scheme………Ziemann and former Vicar General Thomas
Keys stepped down….'I know it's all hard to believe.
You could take this script to Hollywood,' Brenkle
said…..His comments and those of others underscored
a growing feeling among North Coast Catholics who
remain distrustful of church leaders after learning
that millions of dollars raised by local parishes and
schools for special projects have vanished….When
[Bishop] Ziemann quit last July, he admitted to a
two-year sexual relationship with the Rev. Jorge Hume
Salas, a former Ukiah priest who in 1996 confessed to
stealing money from St. Mary's [in Ukiah]. In a civil
lawsuit filed a week before Ziemann resigned, Hume
claimed the bishop coerced him into having sex in
return for silence about the Ukiah incident. Ziemann
has contended the sex was consensual.”

“The
first African slaves arrived in America in 1619 and by 1681
their population stood at 2,000. By the eve of the Civil War
(1861-65), Christianity was firmly embedded in the slave
community, which then numbered about four million. Not all
slaves . . . were Christians, but nearly all were aware of
the way in which their peers expressed the Gospel in hopeful
terms of freedom and a return to the land of their fathers.
This attitude was not
welcome among the slave owners, who viewed religion as a way
of strengthening the virtues forced on the slaves by the
whip and the fist: obedience, industry, honesty, and
respect. By and large, most white clerics went along with
this interpretation.
A former slave,
Charlie van Dyke, expressed the situation like this:
"Church was what they called it but all the preacher
talked about was us slaves to obey our masters and not to
lie and steal. Nothing about Jesus was ever said and the
overseer stood there to see the preacher talked as he
wanted him to talk.”

“Those
who solicit women or boys to dishonorable actions in
the Sacramental Confession are subject to this
[Inquisition] tribunal. Pius IV. published a bull
against them; and when this bull was first brought to
Spain, all persons were commanded, by a public
edict…that whosoever knew or had heard of any monk
or clergyman who had abused the Sacrament of
Confession [in perpetrating] these crimes, or had
acted in this vile manner with wife or daughter, they
should discover them within thirty days to the Holy
Tribunal…..When the decree was published, so large a
number of women went to the Palace of the Inquisition
in the city of Seville alone to make their discoveries
of those most wicked confessors, that twenty
secretaries, with as many inquisitors, were not
sufficient to take the depositions of the witnesses. .
. .
"It
is required that this solicitation be made in the act
of Sacramental Confession, as [for example] if
immediately after Confession, the Confessor says to
the woman, 'Since you have carnally lain with
so-and-so, do me the favor and lie with me.' Or if
[for example] a Confessor solicits a boy immediately
after Confession, carrying him into his house or
chamber; or if [for example] he enjoins Penance to a
woman, viz. to be whipped naked by the Confessor
himself, and he himself performs the Penance and whips
her with his own hand, or with a scourge; or if [for
example] he persuades a woman to show her privy parts
to him, which she confessed to be affected with a
certain disease; such Confessors are vehemently
suspected, and must abjure as such, and be enjoined
fastings and prayers, and may be condemned to the
Galleys, or perpetual imprisonment. . . .
"The
Venetians ordered one of them burnt alive, by command
of the Pope. He had been Father Confessor to some Nuns
in the dominion of Venice, and had got twelve of them
with child; amongst whom the Abbess and two others had
children in one year. As he was confessing them, he
agreed with them about the place, manner and time of
laying with them.”
